Fort Fisher State Historic Site

The site was the scene of the two largest naval bombardments and the most ambitious amphibious assault of the War Between the States. The site also exhibits a fiber optics map illustrating the battle of Fort Fisher, a slide show, and a gift shop. The grounds feature a tour trail with interpretive plaques and a partially restored gun emplacement.
